Improv HEROES reimagines how we heal disconnection across society

Improv Heroes is a signature initiative of William Lyster May Foundation, designed to bring the transformative power of improvisation, storytelling, and interactive practice to diverse audiences. Through playful yet purposeful workshops, we empower individuals and teams to build confidence, strengthen communication, and foster authentic connections.

Our programs serve four key spheres:

  • LEAD (corporate and civic leadership)

  • LEARN (schools and education)

  • LEAN-IN (mental health and social services)

  • LIVE (community and neighborhoods)

Each workshop is designed to create a safe and inclusive space where participants can explore creativity, practice collaboration, and grow in resilience.

Whether in workplaces, classrooms, or community centers, Improv HERO meets people where they are—helping them find their voice, embrace the present moment, and thrive together. It’s not about performance; it’s about unlocking potential and connection.

I think a hero is any person really intent on making this a better place for all people.
